ALA ChaptersAfrican Leadership Academy Chapters are groups of individuals in cities around
the world with a shared passion for Africa and the development of future generations of African
leaders.
ALA Chapters aim to:
- Create a local community of individuals who share the ALA values and have a deep passion for
Africa.
- Host and identify local events of interest to ALA supporters.
- Assist in the identification and nomination of ALA applicants.
- Mentor and support local ALA students and alumni.
- Raise public awareness of African Leadership Academy.
- Host events and assist in local fundraising activities.
The first ALA chapters were launched in mid-2007 in Lagos, Nigeria and New York City, USA. If
